I did it! Well, actually WE did it. Me, Mavis my doula, my team of midwives and most importantly my husband and our new baby girl…did it! On December 8, 2011 baby Mackenzie was successfully delivered via an un-medicated, vaginal delivery. VBAC success! After having delivered Isabella by c-section in 2009, I went through a lot of [...]
Written and published in HV Parent – October 2011 Most people who practice would agree that yoga offers countless physical and emotional health benefits including but not limited to improved flexibility, strength, postural alignment, and overall stress reduction. For teens, the benefits are similar; but at an age where the body is a changing and [...]
Written and published in HV Parent – October 2011 My daughter, Isabella has always been a very vocal, communicative baby. When she was just a newborn in the hospital, I would talk to her, telling her how beautiful and precious she was. She’d wiggle around and bat her eyes as if to say, “Yes, mommy, [...]
Just a week ago, I had the privilege of participating in a FABULOUS event called Silouette of a Woman – A local fashion show to benefit Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation. AND, even more awesome was that I got to strut my 35 week preggo bod on the catwalk at The Bardavon Opera House [...]
In my quest for a VBAC, I believe having a doula will be one the of key ingredients for success. Doulas are amazing and they significantly improve the labor and delivery process. From Doula Difference, a doula: Understands the physiology of birth and the emotional needs of a woman in labor Stays by the side of the [...]
Nutrition for LLB has been a constant focus of mine since she was in the womb. So, when I was offered the opportunity to write an article about feeding your baby in the Hudson Valley Parent magazine – I was excited! It was printed in the May issue…check it out! Homemade vs. the Jar — [...]
My all-times-of-the-day-sickness is driving me crazy! At almost 10 weeks pregnant, I am hoping and praying that this bout of nausea ends with my first trimester. I have heard it can last the entire pregnancy, which is unacceptable! There are a ton of suggestions out there on how to help morning sickness. I would say [...]
It’s 2011 and you can pretty do most things via the Internet…order your groceries, purchase your entire wardrobe, work from home, watch you favorite programs, and WORKOUT with a personal trainer too! Yes, you can hire and work with a personal trainer virtually. Many skeptics out there are probably thinking, how can working with a [...]
Many believe this to be against the “rules”, but I am coming out of the closet…I am 8 weeks pregnant! I realize my preggo press release is on the early side, but there are so many things I want to be writing about right now, like my ridiculous morning, I mean, ALL DAY sickness. I [...]
Just this morning with a little potting soil, paper planters and several different seeds, LongLeanGarden was born! LLG will be living inside the house until the weather warms up a bit, which is recommended when the overnight temp is averaging over 50 degrees. I have been dreaming of having my own garden FOREVER. My very [...]

Jill is warm, funny, engaging and totally focused on understanding her clients' needs, their limitations and creating a plan that meets their fitness goals. She developed a routine that resulted in my jeans fitting me the way they used to, and an increase in overall leg and core muscle strength.
I would recommend Jill to anyone looking for help setting new fitness goals, fine tuning an existing plan or just looking to reinvigorate their commitment to take care of themselves.
