My name is Jill DiGiovanni. I am a Pilates teaching, fitness loving, healthy eating, super energetic mama who loves nothing more than to inspire my clients, family and friends to live a healthy, happy life through exercise, healthy eating and doing what we love.
I wasn’t always a LongLeanMama. Back in 2004, I was approaching my 30th birthday and I was a little over weight, unhappy in my stressful job, and generally not taking very good care of myself – inside & out. I decided to hire a personal trainer as I couldn’t seem to get myself to stay committed to exercise any other way. That was the best decision I could have made. Over the next year, with drive and determination, I got myself into the best shape I’d ever been. This resonated into all areas of my life. I left behind my unhealthy job and relationship, met & married the love of my life, and in early 2007, began my formal education to become a fitness professional. I wanted to help others experience the same amazing transformation.
Today, I am a certified Pilates Instructor and Personal Trainer. I have the great pleasure of helping clients of all ages and fitness levels look and feel better inside and out…what fun! That’s the Long & Lean…then there is Mama. In 2009 and 2011, I welcomed my two beautiful daughters into the world! Since experiencing a beautiful, active pregnancies and deliveries, pre and post natal health & fitness has been a special focus of mine. I am a huge believer that Pilates is one of the best forms of exercise to prepare moms for childbirth and to get their bodies back in shape after delivery.
Aside from personal and professional experince, I believe education is extremely important. I hold a BS in Marketing from University of Illinois and the following fitness certifications: Certified Personal Trainer – American Academy of Personal Training NY (2007), Comprehensive Classical Pilates Teacher Certification – Core Pilates NYC (2009). I continue to keep my skills sharp and up-to-date through personal practice, workshops & reading.
